According to Peng Junjiang, general manager of Ericsson's Northeast Asia R&D Center, Ericsson has already obtained seven 5G commercial contracts and signed 40 MOU 5G network test cooperation with the world's leading operators, and cooperated with 22 industries, 45 universities and research institutes are fully engaged in the 5G field.
Among the seven 5G commercial contracts Ericsson has received, the most important one is currently in the North American market: Not long ago, T-Mobile US announced that it signed a multi-year 5G network deployment contract worth $3.5 billion with Ericsson. This is the second 5G contract signed by T-Mobile US and the largest 5G order to date. As a real 5G supply order, the signing of this contract is the first substantial meaning of Ericsson.
In addition to T-Mobile US, Ericsson has also reached a number of important 5G milestones in the near future with AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, making 5G a reality to serve our customers. Recently, AT&T announced that Ericsson as one of its national 5G network technology providers; Verizon also listed Ericsson as one of 5G suppliers, Ericsson is also continuing to expand its 5G partnership with Verizon; Sprint also selected Ericsson as one of 5G suppliers .
